DIY Halloween 2023 Costumes:

  • Mummy: Wrap yourself in torn white bed sheets or strips of white fabric, leaving space for your eyes to peek out. Add some face makeup for a creepy effect.
  • Zombie: Rummage through old clothes and tear them up. Apply gray makeup to your face and use fake blood for a more gruesome look. Mess up your hair and practice your zombie walk.
  • Scarecrow: Wear some old jeans, a flannel shirt, and a straw hat. Paint on a stitched face with makeup or face paint. Attach some straw to your clothing for a realistic scarecrow touch.
  • Ghost: The classic ghost costume is simple – just drape a white bedsheet over yourself, cut holes for eyes, and you’re good to go.
  • Skeleton: Black clothing, white fabric paint, and some creativity are all you need to create a skeletal look on your clothes. Don’t forget to paint your face white with black hollows for the eyes and nose.
  • Witch: A witch costume is easy to put together with a black dress, a witch’s hat, and a broomstick. Accessorize with green face makeup and fake warts or a hooked nose.
  • Vampire: Dress in dark clothing, add a cape, and use white makeup for a pale face. Don’t forget the fake vampire fangs!
  • Crazy Cat Lady: Wear a bathrobe and attach stuffed toy cats to it. Mess up your hair and carry a cup of tea, and you’ll instantly become the crazy cat lady.
  • Jack-O’-Lantern: Wear an orange shirt and pants. Create a pumpkin face on your shirt using black fabric paint. Top it off with a green hat or construction paper stem.
  • Bumblebee: Wear a black and yellow striped shirt or dress. Create wings out of cardboard and paint them black. Make antennae using a headband and pipe cleaners.
  • Robot: Use cardboard boxes to create a robot costume. Paint the boxes silver and add some colorful buttons (cutouts or paint) for a control panel. Don’t forget to wear silver clothing underneath.
  • DIY Fruit: Dress up as your favorite fruit. For example, wear all yellow with a green leafy hat to be a banana or a red outfit with a stem on your head to become an apple.
  • Minion: Make your own Minion costume by wearing overalls, a yellow shirt, and creating some goggle eyes with a cardboard and a headband.
  • Emoji: Choose your favorite emoji and create a cardboard cutout of it. Hold it up in front of your face, and you’ve got an instant emoji costume.
  • Crayon: Dress in a solid color outfit of your choice and create a cone-shaped crayon hat to match. Label yourself with the crayon color.

Halloween 2023 Games:

  1. Bobbing for Apples: Fill a large tub with water and float apples in it. Participants must try to grab apples using only their mouths, without using their hands. It’s a classic Halloween game that’s always a hit.
  2. Halloween Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of Halloween-themed items or clues and hide them around your house or yard. Have participants search for these items, and the first one to find them all wins a prize.

  4. Pumpkin Decorating: Provide small pumpkins, paint, and craft supplies for guests to decorate their own pumpkins. This is a creative and interactive activity that’s perfect for all ages.
  5. Pin the Nose on the Jack-O’-Lantern: Similar to the classic game of “Pin the Tail on the Donkey,” blindfolded participants try to pin a paper nose onto a large Jack-O’-Lantern poster while being spun around.
